Mario Sanzone

Mario Sanzone was born in Naples, Italy in 1946. He attended the Fine Art Academy in Naples, where he continues to live and work. After finishing his studies he became a  professional painter and now has an international reputation holding exhibitions in Europe and the USA. Mario Sanzone has always received great acclaim from critics and public alike.
Mario Sanzone is best known for his atmospheric portrayals of the Amalfi coastline, which often concentrate on the subtle effect of twilight on cities at night. Mario Sanzone’s work is admired for the luminous palette in which he works and his original technique, skillfully combining the use of both brush and palette knife.
