Dennis Rothwell Bailey

Dennis Rothwell Bailey has been a constant exhibitor at Beckstones Art Gallery for more than ten years and he has a large number of avid collectors. Born in 1933, his earliest childhood memories recall a strong inclination towards drawing. Dennis Rothwell Bailey trained at the Bolton School of Art starting his career in commercial art which included spells in advertising agencies, publishing houses and commercial studios. Dennis Rothwell Bailey commenced full-time landscape painting in 1976 and is equally adept with either oils or watercolours.  Although he paints a variety of landscape subjects, Dennis Rothwell Bailey is particularly well known for his paintings of the magnificent Lake District. His work now features in collections in the USA, Europe and Australia, and many are included in the collection of Sharrow Bay Country House Hotel on Ullswater. Dennis Rothwell Bailey’s paintings have been exhibited at the Royal Institute and the Royal Watercolour Society Open Exhibitions, and several Dennis Rothwell Bailey works have been published.
