Howard Shingler has been a constant exhibitor at Beckstones Art Gallery for some twenty years and his evocative moonlit oil paintings of the Lake District are extensively collected. Born in Leicestershire in 1953, Howard Shingler became a full-time professional artist in 1984 and in all has some thirty years of painting experience. Howard Shingler is a very versatile artist painting a wide variety of subject-matter ranging from Lakeland and other landscapes to still life, but he has a particular talent for capturing the beauty of the Lake District illuminated by moonlight and it is this ability which has given Howard Shingler so much of his success. Many of his works have been published and he has exhibited widely. Howard Shingler paintings are in collections around the world. |
