Christian Nesvadba
1977 - 2008 |
Christian Nesvadba was born in 1977 in Vienna, Austria, into a family with several generations of artistic heritage. In the regular school system his talent for drawing was soon recognised by his teachers and as a very young man he decided to devote himself to an artistic career. His first and foremost tutor was his father, Gerhard Nesvadba, a well known and highly successful artist in his own right. Christian’s first paintings were done on his father’s easel, but he soon developed his own style – bold and fresh and vibrant. His eye for colour, movement and mood were exquisite. There is often an explosion of colour to springboard the viewer into the artist’s brilliantly expressionist world, where function fuses with form and colour is everything. His riotous Impressionist flowers are now receiving the notice they deserve. He won numerous prestigious awards, exhibited in many galleries and is collected worldwide. He died in a car accident in October 2008. |
